Olympus Mons like to proclaim they aren't conventional indie, however in their cross filtration they are arguably more like the 'new' indie bands than they like to admit. Having a different edge and infusing a different genre is almost par for course these days. So welcome Olympus Mons and their blend of indie jazz. However I'd use the jazz part loosely because in reality it's a fairly weak song with a splice of two-step thrown in.

It's also irritatingly stuck in lo-fi while really being hi-fi and while this works for people like the Mountain Goats, this track sounds like it doesn't really have a level to go beyond. Finally the vocalist is going to probably be the difference between listening to all three minutes or wondering who let the children play with the tape recorder. The track is a pun unto itself, but I'd be dubious of seeing much more of this band.
