Featuring ex-members of I Don't Give A Fuck, Santa Karla are a southeast hardcore super group in no uncertain terms. A Thousand Deaths has been released through a brand new Leeds based label called Safety Records and for a first release, they couldn't have landed on their feet any better. This CD rages from start to finish and is definitely worthy of many return visits. Just imagine Beyond Repair era Throwdown going fist first into the face of Slayer with the undoubted evil vision of Integrity rearing it's ugly head to stick the boot in and you're about halfway there.
Vocalist Daniel Duggan has improved an immense amount since his days in The Break In with his screams now possessing an almost blood curdling quality which perfectly compliments the instrumentation that would bring on pit inducing spasms in the most jaded of hardcore kids.
Track by track this EP is a solid, uncompromising listen. Do you miss the days when Throwdown used to be good? You know what to do.
