The Sleeping have got a new guitarit in the form of Paul Cadena and here’s what they had to say about the addition:

"When we started this band, we were a force of 4 that could not be harmed. We were a family stronger than any other out there. Our fans noticed, other bands noticed, people working with us noticed and we noticed. We have been on countless journeys as a whole and as individuals. We have been shot at, Have had our van broken into (at 9 AM) while someone was asleep in it, We’ve broken down in some of the weirdest places (Middle of Rt. 80 for 2 days, Watermelon Capital of the world.) and have almost been arrested by 30 Police Officers because of a plastic orange gun. These are just some of the MANY things we have come across in this band and as crazy as they all sound, I’m just proud to say that we went through them as a family.

As most of you know, our guitarist Cameron left the band early this year to pursue other endeavors outside of the touring aspect of music. Before I press on, he will ALWAYS be family and we wish our amazing friend the best of luck with whatever challenges he now faces. For the past 6 months we tried out a ton of amazing people and where most had their strong points, they also had their weak points. We needed someone to not only fill Cam’s shoes but to also obtain their own style and be super creative when it came to writing new material. Not to mention personality which is the main ingredient working with 3 maniacs from New York.

We somehow got in contact with this kid named Paul, who lives on Long Island through a mutual friend. Raised in Chapel Hill, NC where a ton of good music has come out of, we decided to give it a shot. When he tried out, it was on. He played the old songs perfectly and came to the table with tons of creativity. He has drive and a perfect attitude and fits right in with us not only as musicians but as family. I can’t even begin to tell you all how INSANELY STOKED we are to be back in action. We have written some new songs that we are honestly so immensely proud of that we WILL BE PLAYING ON THIS TOUR to give you guys a feel of what’s to come.
