A slice of well-meaning BritPop which should go down well with the band's friends in the sixth-form common room, Alright recalls Leisure-era Blur with much of the groove removed. It's Supergrass but on a broken pogo-stick. The sound of pop eating itself before it's even finished digesting things the first time around. 'I don't know / but it's alright' is the sing-along, possibly the band's opinion of the song itself. If so, they're being too charitable.
