I'll be honest. I looked at the cover of this album, and immediately had an urge not to review it. I was worried that this was another one of those young bands that couldn't find a bass player and therefore tried to make the best of a bad situation, to no avail.
However, Get It Back offers quite a few catchy songs, in a similar vein to The White Stripes (you're a guitar/drum duo - you're going to get it a lot.) with similar vocal sounds and instrumentation.
Standout tracks on the album include Love Love Love, Say It Again (with a nice chorus) and the driving Sun Noir. The album contains some nice riffs, courtesy of Peter Chisholm, and the band is quite tight (I suppose it's expected when you're brothers!).
The duo is already gaining some notoriety, with plenty of gigs coming up. My only major issue is the lead vocal. It sounds a bit too much like Jack White to me, and considering the duo share the same 'line up' as The White Stripes, they may want to shy away from this.
