Crime In Stereo - Selective Wreckage

6 out of 10

I reviewed Crime in Stereo's 'proper' album not long ago, and if memory serves me correctly I gave it a fair eight out of ten. This is not a 'proper' album I don't think, in that I believe that it is in fact a collection of earlier releases, and indeed some unreleased tracks too. It makes for an interesting listen, as a definite progression can be heard from the earlier, more straightforward hardcore influenced recordings to what I believe are unreleased tracks from the "Is Dead" album recording sessions. If you're new to the band then I'd recommend picking up "Is Dead" first, as unsurprisingly it hangs together much better as an album, and probably, on balance, contains the stronger songs. If you've heard and liked "Is Dead", and are yearning for more before next year's rumoured new album then you should probably consider picking this up.
