Young Hollywood was an upcoming hardcore band from Bristol having only formed in 2005 the band has since split as of July 2008. Right from the get go the EP kicks off with pounding riffs and aggressive intent. Ever since the proliferation and success of Gallows the UK scene has been flooded with many bands falling into the same category and Young Hollywood is no exception.

However, Young Hollywood are certainly no posers as demonstrated with the opening song 'We Disco, You Ain't' is certainly a fine way to open this record. Unfortunately, for the rest of the EP the band throughout stick to with the generic riffs and vocals, which sadly ruins what was a promising start.

Despite the flaws, the band will already have an established audience but quite honestly, there are better bands out there doing similar things. The EP is not due for release until the middle of October until then you can search their back catalogue on Glasstone Records' website.
