News - Steven Wilson Destroys iPods

View The Article

Submitted: "Steven Wilson is releasing his new album "Insurgentes" on March 9th and in the build up to the release, he is putting out a series of videos, one a week, of himself destroying iPods in a manner of different ways. In his own words, he is doing this because:

"My fear is that the current generation of kids who’re being born into this information revolution, growing up with the Internet, cell phones, iPods, this download culture, ’American Idol,’ reality TV, prescription drugs, PlayStations - all of these things kind of distract people from what’s important about life, which is to develop a sense of curiosity about what’s out there."

News - Bring Me The Horizon Headline October Tour

View The Article

Submitted: "Bring Me The Horizon have announced their biggest UK headline tour to date. Dates as follows:

Thursday 22nd October GLASGOW Barrowland
Friday 23rd October MANCHESTER Academy
Saturday 24th October BIRMINGHAM O2 Academy
Sunday 25th October LONDON Roundhouse
Monday 26th October NORWICH UEA

The London show will be particularly significant after BMTH and the rest of the Kerrang Tour bands were forced to cancel their recent Brixton Academy show due to power failures in the area. Vocalist Oli Sykes recently expressed his disappointment at the cancellation of the show:

"People of London! We were tremendously gutted Friday night. We were so excited to play, as the rest of the Kerrang tour was f**king amazing for us. We hope that somehow we can make it up to you. For anyone who really wanted to see us, we’ll be back in the UK this October on our biggest headline tour to date... so come see us there!""
