The hard-working rock n' roll leviathans that are The All-American Rejects are pictured playing guitars in the sea on the insert to this, the third slice from their current album When The World Comes Down. They would have been better shot climbing into jet fighters, a la Top Gun. The Take My Breath Away-vibe is almost overwhelming, were it not for equal amounts of Foreigner, the Cars and Chicago-lite rolling around in the mix. With its big, scenic keyboards and standard boy-band vocals, this is the perfect tune for you if you're planning a Patrick Swayze memorial soon. I've had more deep and meaningful bouts of diarrhoea, personally, but this lot have sold millions of 'units' worldwide, so what do I know?
