'Workout Holiday' is the debut album from Austin based garage rock trio 'White Denim'. There's a lot happening on this album, some nice shout like vocals and some good, if slightly unmemorable melodies. The album also manages to cover plenty of different styles and genres.
Tracks that make some kind of impression include 'Mess Your Hair Up', with it's repetitive riffs, and great guitar sounds, and 'Sitting' which offers something a little different in the way of a piano.
I'm sure this album will appeal to some people, but I won't be rushing out to buy their latest offering. It's a little different and, like I said before, there's plenty going on, but the whole album didn't leave me feeling any better for listening.
