I'm a great fan of Abba but have yet to go and see the show and when I first listened to the album I didn't know what the story was in the slightest so was a bit confused that different people were singing different ABBA songs! However, after doing a bit of research I soon worked out why!
I spent the next few listens trying to hear all the different stars. Julie Walters has a great voice and her accent comes across, so you can't miss her. Colin Firth on the other hand doesn't sound like I thought he would and Pierce Broson has an OK voice. Meryl Streep really isn't my favourite but I thought that she did the ABBA songs justice.
The track listing includes all the songs that you would expect from an ABBA musical and a few that I'd never heard of! But they were all good. If your looking for an album to remind you of the show then this is great, however if you want an ABBA album then this isn't the best album to start with.
